Intakes

The University of Auckland offers multiple intakes throughout the year to provide flexibility for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The main intake, Semester One, begins in early March, with applications typically closing in December of the previous year. Semester Two starts in July, with deadlines usually in early July, offering students an alternative start time. Additionally, there is a Late Year Term from December to February designed for students who want to accelerate their studies or catch up on credits.

Foundation programs through the University of Auckland International College also have multiple intakes across the year, including accelerated and standard programs starting in February, July, September, and October. Postgraduate application deadlines vary by program, so prospective students are encouraged to check specific course requirements and deadlines to plan accordingly.
